Thank you, Don, for inviting on Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman. I would love to see them run again.
I am an life-long Independent here (50 years!), so I don't vote along Party lines. I don't hold the line of either Party, so unfortunately, I feel like I sometimes vote for the lesser of the two evils. I look for character, integrity, compassion, and sensibility. Although I hold some more conservative views due to my religious beliefs, I believe that those views incorporate the caring of and for "the people". It was sad to hear that both former Representatives feel that their Party did not have their back; the Party needs to explain that. On the other side, you have MAGA who believes that anyone non-White is a "DEI hire", which truly incenses my soul and core being. Only tRump and his constituents can take a neutral term and make it sound ugly. What has become known as DEI came about because there were (are?) companies who refused to hire qualified candidates JUST BECAUSE of their race or disability. It was created to promote fair and equitable treatment and participation of ALL people. I became angry when I heard Kamala Harris' critics falsely claim she was a DEI hire; she is more qualified for the presidency than 45/47. I hope and pray that the Democratic leaders are not shying away from supported marginalized candidates and politicians, not with their words of course, but with their actions. We need to have people like Representatives Bush and Bowman back in the political game.
A provision "hidden" in the sweeping budget bill that passed the U.S. House on Thursday seeks to limit the ability of courts—including the U.S. Supreme Court—from enforcing their orders.
"No court of the United States may use appropriated funds to enforce a contempt citation for failure to comply with an injunction or temporary restraining order if no security was given when the injunction or order was issued," the provision in the bill
